I'm always interested in what others are reading so I thought I'd occasionally share what's on my nightstand these days. Currently I'm reading mostly books on Urban Homesteading and self-sufficient living . I'm really enjoying all of these books particularly "Quarter Acre Farm: How I Kept the Patio, Lost the Lawn, and Fed My Family For a Year" . Mostly because it's a mix of gardening ... Goodwill + Spray Paint=Easy Makeover
A few weeks ago I was browsing my local Goodwill and saw this fabulous object. A wooden birdcage! I have a thing for birdhouses/birdcages so this one had to come home with me especially since this big ol' thing was only $5.95! This Week In The Garden – Make It Pretty!
Hi! The last frost date for my area was April 15 but I actually put my veggies out a few weeks earlier than that and as a result they've really growing beautifully already. Time will tell if this was a good move on my part or not. I used an old clear shower curtain to make a cold frame on nights where we had close to freezing temps and it worked amazingly well at protecting my starts! This ...
