Spring Mantel

By Manuela Williams

This is my Spring/Easter mantel (mantle?). But honestly it’s so hot here I feel like I should be doing sunflowers and seashells because it feels like June!

My one chalkboard that I’ve had for years.

rolled fabric flowers on a spring wreath

The wreath is a grapevine one that I painted to match my china cabinet on the other side of the living room and I added some rolled fabric flowers (made out of toile fabric).

I’ll hang the wreath  on the mirror above my mantel for summer.

bunny and decorated Easter eggs

The eggs in the apothecary jar are those plastic ones that you fill with candy. The dots on the eggs are those sticky dots from the office supply section- made these a few years ago (what to do with those plastic eggs ).

Easter mantle

My not too fussy Spring /Easter 2012 Mantel!

MANUELA! This is beautiful! I love the spring chalkboard, what a lovely idea. I have one in my back bathroom that somehow has become our entrance to everyone! I love your happy colors, and the bright feel to the mantel. Yay!
    Happy Easter.

Very Springy and bright and cheerful just as I’ve come to expect from you, Manuela! I may have to paint my twig wreath after being reminded of this…

Very nice! I hear you about the heat — what happened to spring! We’ve got high 80’s and it’s too hot to go in the attic and get down my Easter decorations.

Manuela, The mantel is full of color and spring accessories. You may be saying it’s not fussy- I’m saying it’s just perfect. Love those toile rolled flowers. Enjoy the warm weather. I’m sure you don’t have humidity now, right? That will come soon enough for many of us! LOL ~ Sue

Well, I love it. I have changed my spring mantel about 400 times this spring. Can’t seem to get it to look the exact way that I want this year. I think the problem with mine is that I lack some whimsy like yours has

This is so pretty Manuela! I love the wreath with the fabric flowers. I just made a wreath and made a ton of those flowers….took me FOREVER! And I got a burn on my arm from the glue gun!

I love your wreath better! And the forsythia…..SO pretty!
