Snickers Homemade Dessert Popcorn.
Popcorn is one of my ultimate favorite treats. It could be because it has healthy fiber or because it’s fast and easy to make. Whatever the reason, I know it’s one of these things I can’t seem to get enough of. Another reason why I think I am a popcorn fanatic is that we love to have a lot of movie nights. Spending time with the family snacking on popcorn while enjoying a flick is a perfect night. I can’t wait for you to see this Insanely Delicious Snickers Popcorn!

You can make this scrumptious Snickers popcorn any time of year and for all occasions. I like to snag a few of my kid’s Snickers around Halloween time and make this popcorn. And the best part is that they don’t even care a bit because they would rather eat the Snickers popcorn than just plain candy. It seems like a win-win to me! Keep in mind, this makes lovely gifts around the holidays too.
Homemade Snickers Popcorn
Ingredients
6 cups popcorn
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup chocolate chips or chocolate almond bark
1/2 cup Snickers Bites
Directions
1. Pop your popcorn as desired. Air-popped is best, but butter-free microwave popcorn works.
2. Spray a cookie sheet with cooking oil and set aside.
3. Place the corn syrup and white sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir continuously, until the white sugar is completely melted and the mixture takes on a caramel appearance, about 3-4 minutes.
4. Add the peanut butter and stir in completely. Continue to cook for one more minute before removing from heat.
5. Immediately pour the peanut butter mixture over the popcorn and stir to coat completely.
6. Spread the peanut butter popcorn over the cookie sheet in a single layer.
7. Cut the Snickers Bites in half and sprinkle over the popcorn, pressing down gently as needed to firmly attach.
8. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl for 25 seconds, then stir and reheat as needed until the chocolate is smooth.
9. Drizzle the chocolate over the popcorn.
10. Let sit for 4 hours or overnight until no longer tacky to the touch.
11. Break up the Snickers popcorn and store in an airtight container until ready to serve. Enjoy!
