Turkey Building Activity

To create a fun play station for Thanksgiving day or any other time you need to keep the kids busy and entertained – Pick up a round relish tray from Dollar Tree. Place playdough in the center and fill each slot with items for making turkeys or just for free play.

In our tray I placed tools like fall cookie cutters, a roller, and craft sticks for “cutting” in one, craft feathers in another, googley eyes of various sizes in the next, and finally some yellow, orange, and brown pipe cleaners cut to small lengths. You could also set out acorns, leaves, sticks, and other fall items for children to make impressions in the playdough.

Set tray out on a low table to invite children to play- they can build cute and wacky turkeys or just roll and shape to their hearts content!
