A napkin ring is really more than just a way to hold your napkin, it’s also a decorative element on your dining room table. Here is an easy to make holiday napkin ring that mixes rustic with elegant!

Easy DIY Holiday Napkin Ring:

Supplies needed:
Thin ribbon
Burlap ribbon
Fall leaves
Gold spray paint

materials needed to make gold leaf napkin ring

Directions:

1. Begin by laying some fresh leaves on newspaper. Apply a few coats of gold spray paint (or craft paint if it’s too cold to spray paint in your area).  Allow to dry thoroughly.
2. In the meantime, roll a length of burlap (6-7 inches will do) and secure with a length of thin ribbon. I used thin orange ribbon and secured it in place with a bow.
3. Once the leaf is dry, tuck one into each arrangement. I didn’t use glue; I simply slid the leaf under the orange ribbon.

Your frugal DIY  napkin ring can now be used. Simply roll up your napkin and slide it into the ring.

The elegance of gold against the rustic burlap is really stunning!

Really easy to make frugal fall napkin ring. Love the elegance of the gold against the rustic burlap!

You can even use these as place cards.  Just write your guests name in black or white on the leaf. Then it’s a napkin ring and place card in one!

This is a great way to dress up your fall table while being frugal and functional at the same time!

Oh I like that a lot and the dishcloth napkins too! I really want to use a brown/cream/white sort of theme this year and this would so fit that.

I love the use of something blingy paired with rustic items. I just spray painted some leaves gold yesterday actually, but I didn’t think to use them like this! Very creative Manuela!
