You will find some outdoor benches as well as a vast variety of indoor benches. No matter what you are wanting the bench for, you will find that they are multi-functional and gorgeous. You can enhance the look of your home or your office just by placing a bench.

When you start to make the bench of your choice, you will find that it has its own set of directions. So I wanted to share some of the basic supplies you are going to want to have on hand, no matter which one you’re building.

Sandpaper – Odds are you are going to need some sandpaper to smooth out the project. Make sure to look over the directions to see what grit you are going to need.
Sander – You can use either a handheld sander or one an electric sander. Both are great options, depending on what you are trying to accomplish. You may need to do all the crevices and small spots with your hand sander and the big spots with an electric sander.
Wood Glue – In most cases, you are going to need to use some wood glue to help enforce the strength of the bench.
Drill – You will need a good quality drill to add screws to the wood. A cheap drill is okay, but it may not be strong enough to do the work you will need it to do. This is the drill I use.
