This homemade Cinnamon Vanilla whipped body butter is an easy, luxurious way to pamper yourself or someone else. This scent is fabulous for year round. 4 ingredients make a body butter that smells good enough to eat yet is moisturizing and softening for your skin! I purchase my shea butter online and it goes pretty far, I’m able to make several batches of body butter plus a few other homemade beauty products.

Cinnamon is cleansing, it plumps the skin by increasing collagen, and is an antiseptic, and great for eczema. Test some on your skin first, some people are sensitive to cinnamon and it may give your skin a slight pink blush (you can leave it out if you are sensitive to it).
Homemade Whipped Body Butter
Supplies Needed:
1 cup Shea Butter
½ cup Coconut Oil
2 tsp. Cinnamon
2 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Heat shea butter and coconut oil over medium low heat in a small pan, stirring frequently until melted.
2. Remove from heat allow pan to cool.
3. Place in refrigerator just until mixture starts to set up- about 20 minutes – it should be opaque.
4. Scoop into the bowl of your stand mixer and mix on high for 3-5 minutes until light, fluffy, and triple in size.
5. Add cinnamon and vanilla extract, whip an additional 2 minutes.
6. Store in an airtight container- mason jars are perfect for this.
7. Keep out of hot areas, mixture will soften to nearly a liquid.
I leave mine in the bathroom and haven’t had an issue with it melting.
Body butter is very rich and hydrating (it’s not like lotion – especially store brand lotion which normally has a thin consistency). It’s absorbed into the skin after a few minutes.

I have seen several “whipped body butter” recipes around but never really looked into it, until today! This one sounds and looks delicious enough to eat, but best not hehe. It sounds like it does wonder for the skin!
I have been having issues tolerating the sun, and I think I will be giving this a shot to see how it does for my skin.

Hi Alexandra,
Do try it – it’s very moisturizing! Can you be a Yarn Fanatic when you collect yarn but don’t know how to crochet or knit? 🙂
Alexandra says
Sure can! Anything that has “yarn” in it, is welcome. Crochet, knit, plastic canvas, embroidery, pom pom projects, yarn words, pictures of your yarn collection, yarn storage ideas. Anything yarny.
