1 1/2 cup of room temperature milk
1 1/2 cup of flour, sifted
1 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons of melted butter

1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Place a buttered popover pan into the oven and let it get hot.

2. In a mixing bowl, sift 1 ½ cups of all purpose flour.

3. Add the salt and sugar and give everything a good mix.

4. Add the melted butter and give it a stir.

5. Crack the room temperature eggs into the bowl.

6. Begin mixing in the eggs until they are incorporated.

7. Now add the milk and mix until they are well blended.

8. Continue to mix. You can do this by hand, or in a blender.

9. Mix until the batter is smooth.

12. Immediately pour the popover batter into the popover pan and put it into the oven. You may want to put a cookie sheet under it, just in case.

13. Bake the popovers at 450 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes and then reduce the oven heat to 350 degrees, and continue baking for another 10 minutes.

14. Immediately upon removing from the oven, remove the popovers from the tin by tipping it onto another baking sheet. Pierce the top of each popover with a knife to allow steam to release. This will keep your popovers from turning mushy.
