My Fall Fireplace Mantel

By Manuela Williams

It seems like most of Blogland started decorating for fall a few months ago so on one hand I feel like I’m late to the party.

But on the other, I don’t really live in Blogland – I live in Georgia where it’s still summery. 🙂 Besides I’ve been so busy planting things that I’ve barely spent any time inside!

So instead of cleaning my house … I decorated my mantel for fall!

I didn’t only just use your traditional orange and brown colors…

ACN Fall Mantel

I filled this little brown transferware pitcher that I got at Goodwill last year (I think) with some fallish things I already had.

I did buy one set of fall window clings at Dollar General and a few pieces of fall scrapbook paper to use on my mirror and upcycled window. Other than that, I used what I already had.

That’s one of the free fall printables I showed you in this post. There’s my red toile decoupaged pumpkin from years ago. Here’s how I used it last year – Decorating with Faux Pumpkins

yellow and green pumpkins

Yellow (used to be a white faux pumpkin and spray painted it yellow) and green pumpkins with some birch logs for height.

Happy Fall!

I have to say I always love what you do. I look forward each year to seeing what you’ve come up with. I think it’s the colors you use, they are always so cheerful. I love the yellow.

Very pretty! I really wish I had a mantel to decorate!

I must be behind too. I just bought two mums and a pumpkin today to set on my front deck. I only did it because my sister from Florida was coming up and knew she would appreciate the fall touches. Because we are moving soon, I didn’t want to unpack my fall decor only to have to to repack to move.

Your mantel looks wonderful. I love the touches of brown transferware.

I’m noticing the brown transferware pitcher and the small plate to the left. I have that same plate only the color is in rose. Lovely mantel…cheery and bright.

At least you still accomplish something when you don’t clean. 😀
    Enjoy your weekend.

I love all the sunshiney yellow Manuela, and you are w-a-y ahead of me on decorating for the season. I’m in the process of packing things up and getting rid of things for some new flooring, so no decorating for fall. I’ll just have to enjoy yours:>)

Love all of the splashes of yellow in your fall decorating Manuela! I never think of putting much yellow with the oranges and browns…but the soft yellow looks lovely! (:>)

We are having rain last night and today and possibly tomorrow. But then I think we will get some sunshine again and some 70’s temps. Our trees around here are changing and putting me in an autumn mood. Think I will go heat up some apple cider! (:>)

    Happy Saturday!

Hey, at least you’re decorating for fall! It’s all I can do to decorate for Christmas, I’ve never gotten on the fall or other season decorating wagon. I love your mantle, so cheery and fall-fun. I love the little arrangement in the brown transferware pitcher. I’m hoping to plant tulips tomorrow.

Hahahah…I don’t live in blogland either (soCal) and September is our hottest month as a rule and October seems to be competing with September this year…so my autumn decorations didn’t go up until last week when we had a little bit of temperature drop…thus I dooo relate Manuela! As it is, you seem to throw together festive vignettes out of nothing (LOVE how you spray paint that faux pumpkin and the green one is gorgeous)! You always inspire!
    Love,

It’s gorgeous! 🙂 I’m a fan of the green pumpkin too. And I love the brown transferware. I’m going to have to be on the lookout for some of that at my local thriftstores!

Lovely! I almost snipped some cotton branches today on my way home. They are less than 25′ from my front porch. But, I never got around to buying the hay bales or the pumpkins to go along with them.

I really love the brown transferware with all of your Fall touches; and the birch logs could not be more perfect. Thanks for stopping by my blog today – keep looking for those Pendleton skirts at the thrift stores as they will show up eventually! Sally

I’m just as behind because I am still working on mine too. Yours is so festive and happy! Mine is kind of understated this year because I’m kind of under stated this year. I love yours.
