By Manuela Williams

St. Patrick’s Day is coming up soon! While usually St. Patrick’s Day treats are green, I wanted to go with a different kind of idea for this dessert. So I decided to go with the idea of leprechauns, and in particular, the Lucky Charms leprechaun! The result- these delicious Lucky Charms Treats! This is such a cute treat to make for the holiday or for anyone that really likes the cereal!

Lucky Charms Rice Krispie Treats- These easy to make Lucky Charms treats are homemade Rice Krispie Treats that are perfect for St. Patrick's Day! Or just make them for any time of year if you're a fan of the cereal! This Rice Krispie recipe could also be made with other cereal for other occasions. | krispy rice treats, St. Patty's Day, Saint Patrick's Day #recipe #dessert #StPatricksDay #homemade

Directions:

1. Spray a 9 x 13″ baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.

2. Melt the 3 tablespoons of butter and the entire package of marshmallows on low-medium heat, stirring occasionally.

3. Once the butter and marshmallows has melted completely, remove from heat and immediately pour the Lucky Charms cereal into the marshmallow mixture. Use a large spoon to stir the mixture and completely coat the cereal.

4. Pour the mixture into the baking dish and use the back of a spoon to evenly press the mixture down. I sprayed the back of my spoon with non-stick cooking spray and it worked perfectly.

For added fun, you could cut the Lucky Charms Rice Krispie Treats into shamrock shapes using a Shamrock cookie cutter.

Have you ever made your own Rice Krispie Treats before?
