St. Patrick’s Day is coming up soon! While usually St. Patrick’s Day treats are green, I wanted to go with a different kind of idea for this dessert. So I decided to go with the idea of leprechauns, and in particular, the Lucky Charms leprechaun! The result- these delicious Lucky Charms Treats! This is such a cute treat to make for the holiday or for anyone that really likes the cereal!

These are made like Rice Krispie treats except you use Lucky Charms cereal. So you know they’re super easy to make!
Lucky Charms Treats
Ingredients:
*Makes approximately 24 medium size homemade Rice Krispie Treat bars. 1 bar = 1 serving.
1 package of large marshmallows (roughly 40 large marshmallow)
6 cups Lucky Charms cereal
3 Tablespoons butter
Non-stick cooking spray
Directions:
1. Spray a 9 x 13″ baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
2. Melt the 3 tablespoons of butter and the entire package of marshmallows on low-medium heat, stirring occasionally.
3. Once the butter and marshmallows has melted completely, remove from heat and immediately pour the Lucky Charms cereal into the marshmallow mixture. Use a large spoon to stir the mixture and completely coat the cereal.
4. Pour the mixture into the baking dish and use the back of a spoon to evenly press the mixture down. I sprayed the back of my spoon with non-stick cooking spray and it worked perfectly.
5. Cover the baking dish and let set. Cut into your Lucky Charms treats into bars.
For added fun, you could cut the Lucky Charms Rice Krispie Treats into shamrock shapes using a Shamrock cookie cutter.
