It’s A Pillow Party!

By Manuela Williams

Redworktop

Hi everyone! Rhondi is having a Pillow Party today.  Isn’t that fun!  I love pillows. They’re such an easy and inexpensive way to change the look of a room. Please go to Rhondi’s Rose Colored Glasses to see everyone’s pretty pillows.

I think you’ve seen all of mine a bajillion times so I thought I’d just do mostly big groups of pillows to make it a bit more interesting!
Toile pillows

Of course, I have a bunch of toile pillows.  I’m always looking for new pillows with some red toile in them but I have a hard time finding what I’m looking for.
details

I love pillows that are reversible and I like them to have fun details like covered buttons or trim.

Redworkpillows

I have a collection of Redwork (also known as Turkeywork). Above are a few Redwork pillows.

barkclothpillows

I also have a few vintage barkcloth pillows and a few made from vintage tablecloths (only I can’t find them?!). Above are the barkcloth ones.

ikeapillows

These are my pillows from Ikea. I just added that red trim around the monogram last week.

crochetpillow

I have two of these crochet pillows and just love them. I bought them over two years ago and they’re still favorites!

PBpillow
This is my one Pottery Barn pillow on my  husband’s big ‘ol leather man chair.

pompoms
This cutie I just showed you last week. But for all the folks visiting from Rhondi’s blog that don’t normally read mine – I made that out of a sweater from Goodwill and last week I added some white pom pom fringe.

Kathyspillow
Isn’t this just super cute! This is one of my favorite pillows! Made by Kathy (Kathy’s Cottage). Last time I looked she only had one left in her Etsy store Hens In Daisies. I wish she’d make other pillows (hint hint)!

That’s it….more or less. Thanks for stopping by to see my pillows!

ooo. Love all the pillows. I don't have too many…cause with a house full of guys who just don't get this "girly pillow thing"….and doggies who would just as soon lay on them and get them all hair-covered or carry them throughout the house it makes the choice easy. I had a lot before kids, and will probably get more as we "empty nest". All my doggie tapestry pillows in the den get tossed when the sofas fill up with people. 🙂 love love your toile and your "turkey" ones especially. thanks for sharing.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! All of that toile is just amazing and one of these days I want some of that redwork!

Actually, I think learning to do redwork is on my 2010 list of things to do. 🙂

Your pillows are great; I would have a hard time choosing which would be my favorite, except I do love toile. What a collection you have! I see we share a love for transferware. Thanks for visiting my blog and I enjoyed visiting yours!

You have some beautiful pillows…I have had fun looking at them all. When I had my shop…I made pillows with vintage fabrics…it was soooo much fun making them because no one was the same. I don't think you can ever have too many PILLOWS! What a great party idea…I will be sure to go by for a visit.

    Blessings,
    Linda

I happen to love pillows, all kinds, and I love yours!
I have a selection that I thought I would photograph and post, but I ended up so consumed by the mess yesterday, that I only photographed the little homemade Christmas pillows just before putting them away. My night is flying by me now, so I have to pass on this.
    Again, I love your pillows!

I kept that same "Bless our House" header for SOOO long and thought everyone was probably sick of it, but your first remark was "I miss your old header". I thought that was so sweet that you had liked the plate header that much. laurie

I love your red work! I taught a class for red work at a quilt shop. It was so much fun. I've embroidered since I was 11. Just love it, though lately I've been in a crochet mood. One of the booths at the quilt show I'll be attending this weekend has amazing patterns for embroidery if you do that sort of thing. http://www.lacetales.com and of course Crabapple Hill Studios.
