One Thanksgiving food I always have to make fresh is cranberry sauce! Trust me, if you’ve never had cranberry sauce from scratch, you’re missing out. It’s so flavorful, and super easy to make! Plus, I like that you can control the amount of sugar. I used regular white sugar for mine, but feel free to use an unrefined sugar like coconut sugar or honey, or a sugar substitute like stevia.
Fresh cranberries make this Instant Pot homemade cranberry sauce even more delicious, but frozen cranberries are just fine. A nice compromise would be freshly frozen cranberries- ones that you bought fresh in bulk and froze to use later. I like to do that with the cranberries that are on sale after the holidays (you can freeze them for up to 1 year).
This homemade cranberry sauce is also a great way to get organic cranberry sauce without paying a lot. Canned organic cranberry sauce can cost around $4 for 1 can! So making it in your Instant Pot from organic cranberries can be a great way to save some money on organic ingredients.

3-4 tablespoons orange peel
1 cup white sugar

3. Allow for a natural pressure release for 6 minutes and then let the remaining pressure out. Mash lightly.
4. Put your homemade cranberry sauce in a container with a lid, but leave the lid a bit ajar so it can vent a bit. Let it cool down somewhat before putting in the fridge to chill.
