Happy Valentine’s Day!

By Manuela Williams

Top
Hi everyone! Today is Laurie’s Valentine Party so be sure to checkout her blog because 1) she always has fun posts and 2) lots of people are showing their Valentine decorations and you might get some ideas for next year or even this year (there’s still time).

Sign
Above is a sign I painted a few years ago. The guy who greets people at my Goodwill always says “Be Sweet” to me as I leave. Isn’t that sweet!

Disclosure: This post may contain affiliate links to Amazon and/or Etsy, which means that I may earn a small commission from some of the links in this post. Please see our Disclosure Page for more information.

Vintagecards
Vintage Valentine Cards. As usual, I didn’t get to do all the things I had planned. Just ran out of time! I did put a few things in some apothecary jars.
redhearts
I got some Christmas ornaments at Ikea last month on clearance.  I think they were only 45 cents and they had hearts so I thought they’d be perfect for VDay.
P1130836

I did finish the black cabinet in my dining room.

Topshelf

Isn’t this little fork chandy darling! My friend Linda made it for me, she also made the altered bottle that’s next to the vintage cards above.

secondshelf
I don’t know if you can tell, but those damask tins are in the shape of hearts.

Stripedhearts

Some ticking stripe and black w/button hearts (also Christmas ornaments).

carvedheart

I just realized that I use a lot of Christmas ornaments as Valentine decorations. This one of a pair I found at Goodwill years ago and I added the crystals on the bottom.

LOVE

My glittery LOVE sign with a tulle bow.
The rest of my Valentine Decorations can be found here:

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Very pretty as always, Manuela! I had no idea that there was a Valentine Party going on anywhere in Blogland, but I will be certain to visit Laurie and see what's happening. I really like your "Be Sweet" sign and not only that, I think I need it! 😀

Manuela, first of all I must tell you that I love your blog. I find it to be very inspiring. I get such great ideas! One of them is the sign "Be Sweet", it reminded me of my dear old aunt who always says "Sleep Sweet", whenever we have stayed with her and are kissing her good night. I think I will make a sign with that on it and hang it over my bed.
On to your Valentine decor, it is gorgeous, beautiful, but not TOO much. I love it, I think I will keep a look out for heart ornaments at the Thrift stores that I frequent. Also, I love your yellow walls and the brown and black that you have with it. I am going in that direction with my decor, slowly weeding out more colorful things. Keep up the great work! Hugs, Cindy S

Happy Valentine’s Day!

By Manuela Williams

Hello everyone! This is the last Valentine post – I promise! As I said in my previous post, I won Terri’s giveaway and got some cute Valentine things that I wanted to incorporate into my decorations. Terri, my daughter loves the bracelet and has been wearing it all week and she’s wearing the socks today!

Disclosure: This post may contain affiliate links to Amazon and/or Etsy, which means that I may earn a small commission from some of the links in this post. Please see our Disclosure Page for more information.

I put those cute heart shaped window clings on my dining room mirror. They work perfectly with the heart shaped banner!

As some of you saw in the post below, I used one of the signs in my centerpiece on my dining room table

I added the heart to the two I already had. I had wished I had bought three instead of two so this worked out perfectly!

Look how pretty that sign she sent looks with my red transferware – it’s just perfect!

Some of you have seen this from last year, but this is one of my most treasured items because Penny Lavender Hill Studio made it for me!

Isn’t it just gorgeous! She is such an amazing artist. She used my favorite transferware plate as inspiration.

I hope each of you has a lovely Valentine’s Day! The winner out of the people that said they would like the “Welcome Friends” decal is Kelly Simplistic Treasures. Kelly if you would email me a address I will get this out to you next week and I hope you show us where you put it!

Wow! How long was I a sleep???? I missed a lot of your posts! They are so great! Just lovely ideas your always have. I love the bell, I been looking for a few to make a candle chandy. Love the Be Sweet sign. The Mosaics is so pretty! One of these days I going to give it a try! Just got home from the Auction, my friend in a small town, she is the police cheif, My daughter called today and was in that town in a thrift store that is closing, wanted me to come, well I was scared as I only drove 10 min. so far, plus there is that little card thing. She told me not to worry she would handle it. Found out a place closer to take care of the little card. lol My daughter, bought me pink rose dishes and tea cups, well I paid. Not seen them yet. I bought a Johnson Bro. Rose Chintz creamer, for $1 at the auction, and a set of wheat dishes with serving pieces for $20, wish I had not bid. Oh well, Make a great fall table, lol or maybe someone will want it. I sure been wanting the Red Tranferware, but I saw a set of red toile, and loved it. Your garage looks like my attic! lol Oh dishes can go there! lol Happy Valentine’s!
