I got quite a bit accomplished in my craft room with being snowed in so many days. Plus the day we were without power we were able to do some decluttering since moving about kept us warm. I still have a little bit more to do but at least my craft table is clean! Take a look at what I’ve done so far.

I did a couple of easy craft projects like the pom pom covered “M”. I saw one on Craftgawker a while a go and since I had time (and quite a few cardboard/wood letters) I decided to give it a try.
I did it over a course of a few days while watching a few episodes of the last season of The Americans on Amazon Prime. All you have to do is glue pom poms randomly over the letter of your choice. I used hot glue but I’m sure other glues would work just as well.
This would be cute for a kid’s room especially if you got a really big letter and hung it on the wall! I didn’t cover the inside of the M because by then I was tired of gluing pom poms. But I would paint the parts you don’t cover with pom poms for a more finished look. I may one day 🙂
I also altered a clipboard with some paint, scrapbook paper and mod podge. My daughter made me the sign (it’s spin on something we say to each other when we have a day where we want to accomplish a lot of things). She has an etsy store here where you can request custom designs.
I cleaned off my desk!!!!! I made a pile for the garage sale we’ll be having this spring, a pile of things I need but don’t have space for and a pile of things that needed to be put away. The pile of things I need now – stuff I plan on doing soon and extra odds and ends are in the two plastic bins under my table. If I find nicer bins I may switch them out for the ones I’m using now (one is purple). But these are ones I already had and quite frankly I’m just thrilled I can see the top of the table so they are good enough for right now!
I feel like I did the hardest part and now I just have some fun fluffing to do!

Your craft room is looking great!
Kathy @ Creative Home Expressions says
It looks great, Manuela! I know I always feel like I accomplished so much when I’ve cleaned up my craft/sewing room. It makes a big difference because even a little bit of mess can make it difficult to move around.

Cute M!
You make me feel guilty that I am sitting looking at blogs instead of working in my creative space.
I am off to work.
Lena says
It looks great! You are so lucky to have a whole room devoted to crafting. I’m slowly working on revamping my craft corner right now 🙂
Manuela says
🙂 It’s a multi-purpose room. It’s also my office and my husband uses the closet in that room for his clothes. So a lot goes on in that tiny room but I am glad to have my own area!
Glenda says
A nice, cozy place to create and in same room with your office? I will take a spot like that, please. 🙂
Enjoy your evening.

I think your craft room looks great too My oldest grands would love your pompom letter. They love to do anything with pompoms. They could of helped you glue them, it would not be quite as neat if they helped but you would not be bored if you supervised them or listened to them 🙂
The Americans- never heard of it but I will look it up on AmazonPrime.
Manuela says
Check it out – it’s not the type of show I normally like but it’s free on Amazon Prime. So I started watching it and got hooked. Very well written and acted.
Oh I love pom poms – pom poms make everything cuter 🙂

Craft room looks great and I love that bird picture. Who is it by? Now can you come and help me LOL
Have a great week.

Manuela says
Hi Mary,
Thanks! I don’t know who that picture is by – I looked but didn’t see a signature. I bought it quite a few years ago – sorry I couldn’t give you more info.
Vee says
It looks very tidy and cute! I wish that my craft room looked so good…maybe I just have to deal with it!
Manuela says
Thanks Vee! I didn’t really want to deal with it but this room is so small and my desk is right across from my craft table. I really couldn’t think anymore because it was so messy. Plus I was using my office desk for crafting and that’s not how I set up this room. So go tackle yours –

I don’t know if my comment took but I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your craft room with us. It looks fabulous and is ready for some wonderful new creations!
Manuela says
You’re so sweet Patty! You are most welcome and thank you – glad you like it.

Guess things do happen for a reason. Sorry you were cold though! It looks great!

Manuela says
Thanks Brenda! Well it was something that needed doing and since there were no other distractions we were able to get quite a few things done around here. At least we were out of electricity during daylight hours for the most part.

I get so inspired when I reorganize and clean my craft room. Then I can’t find anything because I’ve reorganized and cleaned! But at least I have fun cleaning :p

It looks wonderful! 🙂

I need to get going on my craft room. It has slowly become the dumping ground for all things no one wants to deal with. Yours looks great!
Manuela says
Thank you! Any flat surface is a magnet for dumping stuff in my house!
Kathleen Grace says
I love everything about this room, and nothing sparks creativity more than a clean surface just waiting to be messed up :>) Lol
Melanie says
What a cute room! Could you tell us about the decorations in the ceiling corner – what are they and how did you hang them? Love how they bring the two walls together and add some color and texture! Also, where did you get the plate rack above the window?
Manuela says
Hi Melanie,
Thanks! This used to be our guest bedroom. The decorations in ceiling corner are some paper puffs I made. I explain them in a post somewhere about organizing my desk area (which is opposite this table). They hanging from invisible thread and I stuck them in the ceiling with push pins. I don’t remember where I got that plate rack since it’s been there about 9 years. I might have mentioned where I got it in some old posts about the guest bedroom if you want to use the search function on my blog.
Heathahlee says
What a coincidence! I’m cleaning my craft room, too! But yours is FAR beyond cleaner than mine is…over the past 6 or so months, mine has seemed to become more of a storage/junk room, which left me no where to work. I’ve started cleaning out EVERYTHING, beginning with the closet. It didn’t even have anything related to my craft stuff, so getting it cleaned out will give me even more storage, which is what every crafter needs. I’ve gotten almost all of it cleaned out, with just one more box of memories to go through. I can see the light! 😀
I love the idea of putting stuff you’re working on in bins under your table! I HATE having stuff cluttering my table, but when I’m working on something, I hate to put it up where I can’t see it (out of sight, out of mind, right?). But if I know it’s right there in the bin, it gets off my table, AND stays where I can get to it quickly. I’m going to implement that as soon as I can get to my desk! 🙂
Manuela says
Hey Girl!
What a nice surprise to see you here! Didn’t know you still read my blog. Ha ha getting to the top of the desk is a major effort, at least it was for me. We’ll see how long I can keep it neat. Glad you found an idea you can use!
Thanks for stopping by!
Ann C says
First time at your site. I love sayings! But my attention was drawn to your plate rack above the window. Can you tell me about it? Was it something else before you put above the window?
Manuela says
Hi Ann,
I got it a long time ago so I don’t really remember if it was a wire shelf or a wire plate rack. I think I got it at Bed Bath and Beyond. Sorry I can’t be more helpful but I’ve had it for about 10 years.
Thanks for dropping by!
