We had a leak in a our laundry area and we’re going to have the dry wall removed to have a look at the pipes so I think now is a good time to spruce that area up a bit. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do anyway. I thought I’d share a few laundry room inspiration photos. There isn’t one photo that has everything I like but there are bits and pieces in each one.
My washer and dryer are set up against a wall like this except I also have a chest freezer next to them. I like the idea of having a countertop installed over the washer and dryer.

Totally love this one – it’s so me! Maybe I could get a red countertop!! Wouldn’t that be fun!
Love the idea of hiding the washer & dryer behind curtains or doors.
I have open shelves now and love the idea of hanging cute curtains over them. Don’t think my husband will go for that though 🙂 I do know I want to do either beadboard or some sort of paint treatment like this.
I would love to put a sink in the laundry area too. Utility sinks are so inexpensive and would look so cute skirted.
Love this!
First we have to figure out what’s going on and then I can get to the fun stuff!

I was checking out laundry rooms not too long ago myself, Manuela. The one I will have in the new place is a bit bigger than what I have now and I plan on adding some open shelving. There is a utility sink – a first for me and I started thinking “skirted” as soon as I saw it!

Love these! Our laundry room is in the basement – pooh. Ugly, boring.
Love the red and white and all of them have great ideas in them! If I ever get to do something with the laundry I will be a happy girl!

Oh you’ve gathered a lot of great ideas. I think the red room is totally you! When I get my laundry room done over, I also want a utility sink.

All great ideas, but I think the red laundry room is my favorite. My “laundry room” is simply an area for the washer, dryer, and utility sink in the basement. Can you say UGLY? lol I’ve spruced it up as best as I could. I wrote a post about it a few months ago.

I like the red one too! We stacked our front loaders earlier this year and we love it. Our laundry room was probably not original to the house it’s very small with washer, dryer, hot water heater and heat/AC unit as well as the cat litter!

That is so funny, we just had a huge water leak here too! It leaked all the way down to the basement 🙁 Apparently one of the valves on our washer needed to be replaced. We bought new machines and I’m really looking forward to making our laundry room pretty! These are some awesome ideas, thanks Manuela!

Those are positively drool-worthy. My laundry cave looks like something out of Silent Hill. It’s a good day when I can open the dryer and there aren’t a couple hefty spiders running around in there. Maybe a fortuitous leak is in order.
Looking forward to seeing your spruce-up! Love your blog.

I’m drooling! I love the red one. We got a new laundry/craft room when we had our 2 car garage built around 10 years ago. The room is at the back of the garage area and the entire length of the garage. I had wonderful ideas and plans for that area. But it kinda turned in a cluttered room. We have two freezers, a washer and dryer, 2 small tables, 2 large shelving units, cabinets on the wall and a sewing machine in that room. I just cleaned it up this week, though, and was able to get to my sewing machine and actually used it! It really felt good.
