16 DIY Patriotic Decorating Ideas
- Use the decor for other times too! Don’t just use these decor items for the fourth of July; use them for Veteran’s Day, Memorial Day, and other patriotic holidays.
- Buy patriotic craft items on sale. Purchase craft items after the holiday and save them for next year.
- Make items that are easy to store. I like to make things that are easy to store and will look just as good when I pull it out of storage. Wreaths are great but are large and bulky. Paper things are flimsy and fragile, so make sure you have a good storage system.

I think I am just going to go with some American flag pillows this year. Of course, I have to make them so there won’t be any patriotic decor until July 4th.
