Patriotic Star Pops Chocolate Dessert.
Memorial Day is coming up soon and the Fourth of July isn’t far behind, so it’s time to start finding all things red, white, and bluet! That goes for your recipes as well as your decor! I wanted a festive, patriotic treat to serve at our Memorial Day barbecue, so obviously my first thought was to have a red, white and blue color scheme. My next thought was stars. Then I just had to figure out how to combine the two ideas. The end result is these fun and tasty Chocolate Star Pops!

These are a no-bake dessert that are so easy to make, you could make them the day of your get-together with no problems! I also imagine the kids or grandkids would enjoy helping put these together.
Of course, you don’t have to limit these delicious chocolate star pops to only patriotic holidays! Use other candy melts to create different color schemes for birthdays and other holidays!
Chocolate Star Pops
Ingredients
Wilton red, white, and royal blue candy melts
Red, white, and blue nonpareil sprinkles
Lollipop sticks
Plastic star pop chocolate mold
Decorating bags
Directions
1. In three separate microwave safe bowls, melt 1/2 cup of each color candy melt on 50% power for 3-4 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until melted. While the microwave melts the candy, work through steps 2 and 3.
2. Place a tiny amount of sprinkles in the bottom of the star molds.
3. Now place your lollipop sticks in the stick slots of the mold, making sure they are pushed all the way to the top of the stars.
4. Now that your chocolate is melted, scoop them into 3 separate decorating bags and cut a small tip off the ends.
5. Use your chocolate filled decorating bags to fill each each part of the star with a mix of the three colors.
6. Lightly tap your star mold onto the counter and twist your lollipop sticks to ensure all sides are covered.
7. Set in the freezer for 5 minutes, pop out, and enjoy your chocolate star pops!
If you’re not serving these right away, keep them in a cool place until you’re ready to hand them out. Candy melts are essentially chocolate (minus the actual cocoa), so on a hot day they can get soft and start to melt like chocolate would.
