I bought a new rug for my screened porch last weekend so I decided to move the furniture around in the seating area. I had to move everything anyway to lay the rug so why not? Furniture re-arranging is an economical way to get a new look!
Anyway, I bought this fun new rug at Cost Plus Saturday. It’s an indoor outdoor rug and was only $39. I had $10 off of $30 coupon because we’re members of their loyalty program (although they often have the same coupons on their weekly circulars). So for $29 I got a whole new cute look!
I also removed the plumbing hardware I had been using for curtain rods and put up a new one that spans the length of that wall. Mainly because I needed to be able to draw the curtains to block out the sun towards the end of the day.
Of course, I now have to put away everything I didn’t use!
Here are a few pictures of the seating area.
I painted the “Fleurs” on this piece several years ago. It looks so nicely weathered now since it’s been sitting outside for about a year.
I just have to clean off the dining table and then the whole porch will be ready for summer fun!
I could stay there for forever!!!

Love it, Manuela! It works so well with everything you already had in there, too! Your porch reminds me of our screened gazebo. I need to actually bring the vacuum out there and do that; maybe putting an outdoor rug down will entice the family to sit in there more. One year I put simple, white cotton curtains up and it gave it a totally different look. I love yours.
They had various colors and patterns to choose from so I chose the one that would go with what I already had. No reason to buy new pillows and cushions when the ones I had were perfectly good.

That looks cool and peaceful with all the blues (cool sounds good as we are to have record breaking temps for the next few days — 98+). The hydrangeas are beautiful.
Are those lights clamped onto that greenhouse shelf thing? — I got one for Christmas and have been trying to figure out how to fit it with some grow lights for seed starting/microgreens, etc through the winter. What did you use?

Nope it’s not on the market. We could sell but not for the price we need. So we’re hanging tight until our daughter is out of college (3 more years). Hopefully the housing market in this area will be somewhat back to normal by then.

Oh, it’s so nice! Such a relaxing place. I wish I had a screened porch but I don’t think it’s in the plans. We really need a screened porch that can become a sunroom with windows to protect from the rain. You’ve done such a nice job of making yours a special spot!
