Sowing Seeds: Ideas to Help You Cultivate Your Nest

By Manuela Williams

I have some cute DIY projects that I’ve found in my internet travels to share with you today:

All the photos are linked to their sources.

I love that the inside of the door is wallpapered (maybe stenciled?). I paint almost all the insides of my doors yellow and it’s always such a happy surprise to open a door.

Look at these cute and cottagey decoupaged votives From Fellow Fellow . That’s cloth on the inside (I would use a battery operated votive in them to be safe).

I love these curtains. I love the contrasting color curtain rings and the black ruffles on that gorgeous yellow fabric. Go to Less Than Perfect Life of Bliss for the how to

I hope these ideas inspire you to add a bit of loveliness to your life with some easy projects!

Nope. I’ve decided to limit my “technology time” to just blogging. Although I love checking out Pinterest. I think of my “Sowing Seeds” series as my own little pinterest!

I love the black and yellow combo too. the two patterns on the curtains really look cute…pizazz! would look cute in a kitchen window! saw your garden post (somehow missed it earlier!!) AWESOME veggies..you definitely have the same green thumb my mama had…you are going to be eating yummy this winter. The winter weather early this year has really helped hasn’t it…Even out here in Iowa they are saying December was QUITE mild…I’m glad…not as hard a transition for me this year ….coming from NC!!! Hugs to you Manuela…loving visiting here again. 🙂 🙂

Thank you for sharing these lovely ideas. I already knoe that I will be using the idea for the inside cabinet doors. It is so pretty. I bet the yellow really does make you smile.
We are building a little cottage for guest to stay in and this would be so cute in the little kitchen.
    Have a fabulous weekend,
    Melissa

Thanks for all the inspiration! I think my favorite are those curtains with the black, red and yellow. What a fun color combination.

    I am completely inspired!

When you wrote about painting the insides of doors yellow, I think I remembered that from the past. I had just forgotten. I’m going to hide some surprise color around here this year. That’s just plain old fun.

    I’m pinning this inspiration!

Thanks for the ideas. Will be checking all those websites later. Love all the ideas using fabric, since I have lots of fabric stashed away. Keep up the good work.
