Hi everyone! I’m on vacation this week but I thought you all might enjoy a few pictures from my backyard that I took last week.

The crepe myrtles are starting to bloom. The barn which we’ll be painting next week and you can see the pond my husband is rebuilding.
Like most gardeners, I go out with my cup of coffee most mornings to see what’s new. This time I took my camera instead of my coffee cup. I hope you enjoyed our little stroll. See you all Sunday.

It was a lovely stroll! I wish my backyard looked like that. Most mornings I take my cup of coffee and catch up on some T.V.. I would much rather spend my mornings enjoying a beautiful backyard. Do you have a lot of land? I know that’s a random question I’m just wondering how you fit everything in your space. My fiancée really wants to plant a garden but we just don’t have the room. I can’t imagine what it would be like to go into your own back yard and pick fruits and vegetables. It must be the best feeling!

Hi Manuela,
I have been getting caught up on your blog by reading some of your past posts and I happened across your April posts about a Goodwill treasure that you found. I must live fairly close to you because we go to the same Goodwill! In your April 22nd post you showed the picture of a pear that you found there. I had to laugh because I JUST did a post yesterday on my blog about the same pear! I don't know if you got rid of yours and gave it back to the Goodwill – but I now have one! Too funny! Strange coincidence!
I, too love the Goodwill – especially the one in Smyrna. The little Thrift store across the street from the Goodwill is great also.
I LOVE your blog and get some great ideas from you.
Blessings to you,
Kymber

Good Morning to you, Lovely stroll through the garden. The UGO ( unidentified Growing Object) I get these too. We call them volunteers from the year before. I believe yours is a pumpkin. The stem end that attatches to the pumpkin is very thick and a watermelon has a slimmer stem if memory serves. Hope it gets orange soon~ ~Ahrisha~ ~

Thank you for your comment about my granddaughter. She certainly is a cutie and I just adore her. Your husband is right. Even late at night the humidity is so bad here. I can't stand to go outside anymore. Just stay in with the AC down low and sip on sweet iced tea!

Beautiful garden, Manuela! What a peaceful haven you've created. I love your wildflower border and those pretty morning glories peeking through the fence. My little garden is doing great. So far, we've enjoyed radishes, basil, cilantro, zucchini, green beans and just picked the first ripe tomoto today! I like visiting my little patch daily too. ThanX for the fun tour.

Hello,
This is the 3rd time I came back to your blog and each time I got mesmerised by your beautiful pictures and creativity here. That morning glory really remind me of my younger days, I used to pick them. It is nice to know they bloom also in your country as well as mine.
Glad to have met you, I hope you do not mind I add your link as one of the blogs I visit 🙂
Do have a nice day.

Hey Manuela! Hope you have had a good break with your family. I got that plate at Walmart a few years ago and could kick myself for not getting more of them. Let me know if you find them anywhere!

I love your garden, wonder what the mystery melon will turn out to be? Your pink morning glories are so pretty, I have some deep purple Grandpa Ott morning glories that seed themselves profusely and I. just. cant. kill! Oh well, when flowers take over it is best to just sit back and enjoy it!
