Delicious Homemade Chipotle Mayo

By Jody Smith

Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe

Flavored mayos are a great way to spice up a sandwich or to use as a dipping sauce! Smooth and creamy with a delicious kick,  homemade chipotle mayonnaise is perfect drizzled over nachos, slathered on a turkey breast sandwiches or burgers, or put some on fish taco’s ( or regular taco’s for that matter). It’s also really (really) good used as a dip for fries, veggies, taquitos, or other finger foods.

This mayo is so good on so many things and very easy to make!

Homemade Chipotle Mayo

Ingredients:

¼ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup sour cream
2 Chipotle chilies in Adobo sauce
*Optional- If you like yours a little spicier like I do you can add the following
1 ½ -2 tsp. Adobo sauce
¼ tsp. chili powder

How To Make Homemade Chipotle Mayo

Directions:

1. Combine all ingredients in food processor or blender until smooth and creamy.
2. Transfer to a glass container ( I used a small mason jar) and chill 1 hour minimum before using to allow flavors to “marry”.
3. Should last in refrigerator up to 2 weeks.

Transfer chilies to tray, freeze, then place in a freezer safe bag for another batch or other recipes so you don’t waste the remainder of the can.

Sounds delicious. But I’d have to leave some of the hot stuff out.

I need to give this a try! We are big on the chipotle flavor and it will make sandwiches and wrap come alive. Pinning right now.

I recently tried making chipotle mayo for the first time, and I’m definitely wanting to make more! I like how you added a bit of sour cream to yours too. 🙂 I hope you can stop on by and share this or any other recipe with us on Five Friday Finds!
