Soothing DIY Peppermint Foot Soak

By Jody Smith

Nothing feels as good at the end of a long hard day on your feet as a good relaxing soak. This one is a fabulous mix to keep on hand for tired tootsies! I like to make a large batch and keep it on hand in the bathroom for “emergencies”, one batch gives you 2 to 3 foot soaks. It also makes an amazing gift for anyone but it’s especially perfect for Mother’s Day. This peppermint foot soak is both soothing and refreshing!

4 easy ingredients, 3 of which are likely to already be in your pantry. If you do not have peppermint essential oil you can skip it but it will not be as exhilarating of a soak without out it, so I recommend investing in a bottle (you can use it for tons of other projects).

¾ cup epsom salts
¼ cup baking soda
2 peppermint tea bags
6-8 drops peppermint essential oil
(Peppermint essential oil is perfect for a foot soak since it has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties)

ingredients for making peppermint foot soak

Directions:

1. Cut open tea bag.
2. Pour tea bag contents into a bowl then add epsom salts, baking soda, and peppermint essential oil and stir until well combined.
3. Place in a jar with a tight fitting lid until ready to use.

To use:

Scoop ⅓ to ½ of contents into a foot tub filled with water as hot as you can stand it for a relaxing and invigorating treat. Soak for about 15-20 minutes

Give your tired aching feet a much deserved rest with this easy to make peppermint foot soak!
