I do have quite a few things I collect but I think this is my most useful collection – milkglass bud vases!

How can you go wrong with something that costs about 25 cents at the thrift store, comes in beautiful shapes and patterns and is a lovely white color that goes with everything!
I always have two or three flowers out of a bouquet that’s done that still have some life left in them. So I separate them and put them in my bud vases. Also, I don’t have to cut a whole bunch of flowers from my garden as I would for a vase. I can get away with two or three of something. I cut these hydrangeas this morning from my garden. They’d look great with pretty fall leaves too!
I have so many things I’m working on right now – too many as usual! I’m painting a piece of furniture this color for our screened in porch. That mirror I painted that yummy blue will go above this.
My veggie garden is a horrible weed patch – it’s been either too hot or too wet to go and weed plus my woodchip pathways got washed away when Tropical Storm Fay came through. Tons of fun and not so fun (cleaning bathrooms) stuff to do!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you all have a wonderful day!

I’m so envious of your hydrangeas. They are hard to grow in our arid climate, so I’ve never tried them. Yours look great in your milk class vases. Sally

What a neat collection! You can use those almost anywhere in all seasons. Your hydrangeas are so pretty as well.
Fay made a mess here also. It is nice to see a green yard again though. Now we are just watching to see what the next three storms will bring.
Have a beautiful Wednesday,
Jen

That is a useful collection, pretty, too. They are actually starting to sell milkglass (or something that looks very much like it) at the stores again. I saw some at Marshall’s about a month ago, I was really surprised!

Hi Manuela 🙂
The hydrangea look gorgeous in those bud vases! I’ll have to use this idea 🙂
Thank you for the money saving tips. I could really use them with the price of gas and everything else getting so expensive…. yikes!
Oh and I loved the reference to the Vampire Lestat LOL

I love bud vases. They are so versatile. I like to keep a little arrangement of one or three flowers by my kitchen sink. It helps to look at something beautiful when I have a sinkful of dishes! Thanks for visiting my blog. I’ll be back for a visit when I have time. Mimi

Those hydrangeas are beautiful. My favorite flower. The vases in the center of the table is a simple and beautiful idea. Can’t wait to see what you are painting, and I’ve got to run back and read your post on the pantry. Have a wonderful day. Jackie

I have a rather large collection of those vases too. They are so useful! I love to put 9 or 10 of them on a tray and put a couple of cut flowers in each one.

It is always miserable to work outside in this part of the country in summer! Ugh!
I love your milkglass displays and hydrangeas! Good cheap fun! Also love the china garden.
We have ‘the bowl’ in our yard.

I enjoyed seeing your milk glass bud vase. I have some of the same designs, but still missed some other patterns.
