Here’s the second half of my vegetable garden.
Here’s a little video tour I did with my iPhone. I haven’t figured out how to edit it or resize. 🙂

Manuela’s Vegetable Garden Video Tour
I uploaded it to YouTube and it won’t give me the link to embed it (probably because the size is wrong) so just click on that link to go to YouTube. I thought you all might find it fun and as soon as I figure out how to edit the videos – I’ll probably be doing more of them for certain things.
I have a couple of new raised beds that are little wider and taller than what was there and I’m growing a couple of things I haven’t grown before. This is popcorn. I’ve grown corn before but I thought it would be fun to grow popcorn. The other plant is cucumber
Another thing I’ve never grown before are peanuts! They’re in the center of this bed with squash and mini pumpkins.
A few details:
The blueberries are starting to ripen!
My garden seating area that my daughter and I made
Hope you enjoyed the tour!

Lovely! I hope to post similar pics in about 2.5 years – lol!

Your garden is awesome! Let us know how the peanuts do. I saw some at our garden center this year and almost bought a couple. Love your dish display too. Mimi

Awesome garden! Mine is horrible looking right now, because it’s too hot to get out and weed! I desperately need to get with it…

I loved the video tour and will have to show it to my husband. I know we could handle these raised beds so much better. Your vegetable garden is neat as a pin and the trouble you’ve gone to with the blueberry cage should be worth all the effort. Very smart.

Loved the video Manuela! Your garden is such an inspiration. When I went outside today to inspect the garden after having been away, I was thrilled to find some little beans on the vines and some strawberries to pick as well. I thought of you!! Have a great weekend.

Wow – Very Nice! Since I don’t have a garden, I need to make a trip to the farmer’s market this weekend to see what the vendors have to offer.
Have a great weekend.

I LOVED walking through your garden with you! It’s a work of art and I absolutely loved hearing you describe it all.

I did enjoy the tour! A video can be a great tool over doing as you said…taking 100 pictures to post 5. I am struck by the size of your garden, which is quite large to me. It’s also very lovely there and how pleasant it must be to take a break right there in your seating area. Looks as if it’s time to harvest some blueberries and enjoy them.

I wish I had the space for a garden like yours. There is nothing like eating fresh, homegrown veggies.
Thanks for the tour.

Hi Manuela. What an excellent garden. I so love the idea of enclosing the berries. The birds are always getting to our berries. Isn’t it wonderful, the garden? I just picked tomatoes, husband has been picking string beans every day, corn and there are so many other goodies in the garden. I just couldn’t be without a garden and I’m sure you feel the same. Very nice, love your garden. The video was great and your photos are awesome.:) Thank you.

Your garden beds are looking fantastic. I enjoyed the video, too – nice to hear your voice! Now we just need to see a picture of you to put the voice and your blog with your face. 🙂

I enjoyed your video very much, I love your raised beds, and your adorable little tool shed that your husband built for you. And the barn is lovely as well as the seating area. It was nice to hear the sweet trill of a bird, too.
Have a good weekend.

Love love love the video tour! You have a great narrating voice by the way. The video really gives an added dimension to seeing your yard and garden — it looks very large. I am impressed how all parts look good! I’d have a hard time doing a video tour because so much of my garden is a “work in progress” at any given point. As in, we have a pile of debris in the middle of the back yard because we can only put so much out for the trash collection at a time, and some needs to be sorted through for salvage. ugh.
Only thing missing from your wonderful garden is the mellow clucking of chickens! And a beautiful coop of course.
Manuela says
I keep going back and forth about chickens. On one hand it seems like the most natural thing to do on the other I don’t know if I need one more thing that I need to do or take care of!

Absolutely stunning ! ( I saw the first post too…a few of the tomatoes that I started from seed this year are those Mortgage Lifter ones, too! 🙂 Your garden is like one of those dream gardens in a magazine! What a lot of hard work and everything is so well put together …I just love it.
Manuela says
Thank you Debra! That’s very sweet of you to say!
