Over the next few weeks I’m going to share some ideas that I’ve bookmarked for homemade Christmas presents that are cute and easy (or fairly easy) to make.

Unless you’re really good at sewing (which I’m not – I’m just o.k.) or have tons of free time (which I also don’t have), you’ll be like me and need some ideas for presents that are nice but don’t take too long to make!
Here are a few ideas for Christmas presents which I may or may not be making. 🙂
I love these upcycled t-shirt scarves from Just Something I Made
She has a very easy to follow tutorial on how to make these just click here
Fabric covered notebooks from homelife. Great step by step tutorial on how to make these here
Love the idea of giving gifts from the pantry and I think presentation is important! Flavored Sugars (with cute labels) at Country Living
Wouldn’t you love receiving this homemade vanilla as a gift. I know I would! The instructions say it takes two months to mature so do it soon.
Complete instructions for the homemade vanilla at Style Me Pretty.
These are so cute! Scrap fabric necklace by Small Magazine
For the little kids in the family. I think even I can manage these cute glove and sock animals! From Martha Stewart. There’s a pdf file for instructions and a video. Read the comments for tips.
These are just a few present ideas I’ve stashed – I’ll post some more next week.

Some very cute ideas! I do make homemade vanilla and I was thrilled to learn from Brenda at Coffee Tea Books and Me that vanilla beans can be purchased much more cheaply online at many places including Amazon.com .

Great assortment of ideas, but (thankfully?) I don’t need any…several years ago, my extended family decided we wouldn’t exchange gifts anymore, so all I have to buy for is my husband, son (who is almost 22), and two teenage nieces. 🙂

The flavored sugar intrigues me. Wonder what you’d use those for?
I have Pinned so many gift ideas. I need to refer to that list and get started!

You can use them as you would regular sugar like in tea, coffee, sprinkled on top of sugar cookies or in baking. They just have some added flavor. You can also make flavored salts!

I have intended to make my own vanilla for a long time. I need to get on the ball and get it started.
The t-shirt necklaces are so cute and would be fun to make. I’m going to enjoy this series!

These are all good! I particularly loved the scarf made out of t-shirts. I’ve seen blankets made out of them, but the scarf looks so much easier and really cute.

Lots of good ideas – thanks for sharing. One of my neighbors does a lot of baking and she makes her own vanilla.
Enjoy your weekend.

Super motivating Manuela! Love your collected ideas and (as always) really appreciate you sharing your finds! I made vanilla several months ago…so easy…I will probably decant it this week into gift bottles. I’ve also been dehydrating bundles of fresh mint all summer (like I did last year–I buy them for 50 cents each at the farm stand) and will put together homemade mint tea bags to include in gift baskets…that and the candied grapefruit I just made on impulse are my only starts thus far…you’ve got me thinking of so much more now!
Love,
Tracey
