Belts can be used in so many fun and frugal upcycle projects!
12 Creative Ways To Decorate With Belts
- They don’t have to match. Most of the projects don’t require a bunch of belts that all match. Different textures, materials, and shades of colors make the projects look better.
- The belts don’t have to be leather. Some of these projects don’t use all leather belts and I love the way they turned out. The different textures give it some eye appeal and allow you to complete the projects with what you have!
- They don’t have to be in the best shape! I love that the belts don’t have to be in the best shape to reuse them in these crafts. This gives new life to something that may have been too worn out to wear anymore!

I know so many great ideas I could have gone on and on. The chair reminds me of what Kitty Bartholomew did with old men’s ties once. Do you remember that?

Great idea! I really like the vase.
My MIL did something pretty smart recently. She has a favorite purse with perfect pockets, perfect size, all that… The strap had worn out so she went and bought the right leather belt and had the shoe repair man replace the purse strap with a belt. It looks great!

Love that! That was sooo smart!

I love how so many old things can now be repurposed…I never wear belts, so I don’t have any, but my husband has a couple of old belts that I might have to “steal” and do something with. Thanks for the ideas!

Thanks for sharing – Lot of fun ideas. I have seen cute cuff bracelets made from belts before.
I cleaned the majority of my belts out a while ago – age tends to change our wardrobe. 🙂
Hope you are having a great week.

We use old belts in our garden. Here in Texas birds hit our garden hard. Birds are afraid of snakes. We lay out a few old belts in the garden in a manner to look like a snake. Really does work to keep the birds out of our tomatoes etc.

That is such a great idea! I’m going to give that a try next year. I wonder if it would keep the birds out of my berry bushes?

I love the tray and the chair, but they’re all fabulous ideas!

That tray is just amazing! I almost like it as much as the one I found where you use yardsticks on the tray part.

These are great! Too bad I just gave away all my belts to the charity store! I was wondering what to do with them when I *ahem* outgrow them.
