I know! Makes me wish I had more windows! I’m leaning toward stripes. They seem the easiest to do and I don’t have to buy a stencil. Although I have some stencils that I could probably use…hmmm. Stripes I’m sticking to stripes (I think)
thank you for including my striped curtains in your round up. i still absolutely adore them!
I’m loving each and every one of them. Mimi

Hi Manuela, what a great post at the right time. I’ve been shopping around for curtains. DIY is always the best! Btw, I really like your blog. I just started following you. I also love cottage style and gardening. I can totally relate to your about me page. I’m making the best of my little 1950s home.

I can’t wait to see what you make, I love the large striped ones best, they are so beautiful and tailored looking.

Thanks for all the eye candy. I can’t wait to check them out. Painted fabric has come a long way since I’ve last done it. It would seem to be the perfect way to get the color AND style.

I went to a baby shower at a beautiful brand new home today and I wish I had taken pictures of the window treatments, I am sure they were professionally done, very pretty and clever. I don’t even remember the fabric of the ones by the big dining window on the front of the house but I really liked they way they were hung. They were 2 straight panels, like tablecloths, each side had 3 clips at the top worth a ring on each one about the size of a narrow metal bangle bracelet. Those 6 bracelet clips were each hung on a square knob spaced about a foot apart. Yes, I really wish I had a picture to show you.
The drapes in the formal lining room were a natural linen with French looking handwriting on them.

New drapes for the master are on the agenda for this summer and so far I can’t find anything my sweetie likes. A fancy stencil (think floral with lots of color) on a plain drape may be our salvation! Thanks for the inspiration
