April showers bring May flowers, but guess what else you can find in May? DEALS! May is the perfect time to find some of your favorite things at their rock bottom price, which means it is time to stock up. But how do you know what to keep your eyes open for? Take a look below at 50 items to buy in May, which are sure to be at their lowest prices and worth stocking up on. Knowing what to buy in May can help you plan your shopping strategy so you can truly save and make your monthly budget go further. Here is what you need to know!

What To Buy In May- May is the perfect time to find some of your favorite things at their rock bottom price. Here's a list of items that are on sale this month!

There are a few National Celebration Days as well as National Holidays in May that will result in sales. You will see National Stamp Out Hunger Day as well as National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day and National Pet Week. May is also the time of year for Mother’s Day, Cinco de Mayo, and Memorial Day, so these are the items you will see low prices and sale prices on:

What To Buy In May

1. Canned food items and soups for donating to food drives. Buy a bunch for yourself and a few to donate to food drives in your community.
2. Chocolate chip cookies, cookie mixes, and cookie snacks to celebrate National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day.

Memorial Day foods perfect for your cookouts and BBQs with family and friends will be on sale. Keep your eyes opened for snacks and foods such as:

3. Burger and hot dog buns
4. Hot dogs, cocktail weenies
5. Chips and dip, salsa, cheese dips
6. Deli trays both fruit and vegetable, cheese and cracker, or relish trays
7. Soda and other canned beverages
8. Deli side items such as potato and pasta salad, beans, coleslaw
9. Mustard, ketchup, relish, and other assorted condiments
10. BBQ Sauce, marinades for meat and fish, and grilling seasonings

Now is also the time to look for Mother’s Day gift items such as:
