Welcoming Spring In My Foyer

By Manuela Williams

Happy Spring everyone!  I thought I’d share a little spring decorating that I did in my small foyer which includes a very easy DIY Easter Egg Wreath!

DIY Spring Easter egg wreath

I don’t plan on doing too much this year since we’re busy with house and garden projects. But as you know, I like to celebrate the seasons and most holidays by doing a little something!

DIY EASTER EGG WREATH

DIY Easter Egg Wreath

This is a really easy wreath to make!

Materials

Dollar Store Easter Eggs
Grapevine wreath form (this one is shaped like an egg)
Hot glue gun

I glued a few fake Easter eggs  from the dollar store (I also had a few that I had decopauged) onto the center of a grapevine wreath that I already had (it was on my cute little garden shed  before and  I spray painted it blue at that time). See, I said it was easy!

You could certainly add more eggs to the outside so the wreath form is totally covered in faux eggs.

I also took some fake forsythia branches and placed them in a blue glass vase (see how I used them on my mantel a few years ago here). It’s simple yet says “spring”!

My forsythia is in bloom, all my spring bulbs are up, my Bradford Pear is covered in white blossoms and the sun feels soooo good!

So glad spring is finally here! I hope it’s sunny where you are and that the snow is melting!

So pretty! Your fake forsythia looks real! We are having a beautiful sunny day here, but it is only 37 degrees and tonight they say Snow. Then colder temps for next week. Someday…..

    Pretty touches of Spring!
Your area of the country is in pretty blooms. Out and about couple of days ago and just did not see much around here, and yet daughter lives approx. 100 miles further North and their Bradford’s are already in bloom.
    Have a great weekend.

So pretty! We are yet to get any blooms here but the weather is getting warmer and warmer. I’m so excited for spring!

Your are a couple weeks ahead of me. I had to cut some forsythia and bring it inside to force. Your wreath is cute and I love that blue bottle!

You are so lucky to have those visions of Spring in your landscape, Manuela! We are not here yet. I hope it won’t be too much longer though. Of course, snow is in the forecast for Tuesday, so who knows at this point.

More snow!!! Oh my gosh, I really feel for you. I couldn’t take it. That’s why we moved from NJ to Atlanta. We just couldn’t take one more winter that wouldn’t end. I hope that’s the last of it for you!

I love your spring look on your hall tree. The bright colours are very cheerful. Seeing your forsythia and pear in bloom makes me happy for you. It will be a while here before we see that. Have a lovely weekend!

That’s so festive and cute! I don’t have time for Easter/spring projects. Busy packing. No blooms here yet.

I am not familiar with forsythia, but so many people talk about it. I need to see if it will grow at the beach because yours is gorgeous.

Where did you get your eggs to use on the wreath? Love them! Also love the blue grapevine, what is the name of it? Such a nice break from all the Easter pastels we see this time of the year.

Just beautiful! I always love your red and yellow combinations. Lucky you to have spring already arrived, I am still waiting for the warmth, but we have the sunshine:>)
