Spending time with family, soaking up the sun, and relaxing the day away is so much better when you have some treats to munch on. These Patriotic Rice Krispie Treat Stars are so adorable, and everyone is going to devour them at first sight! They’re perfect for Memorial Day or the Fourth of July!

Granted, I always enjoy the pasta salads, burgers, and other foods at potlucks and barbecues, but my heart still goes towards the beloved dessert table. Can you blame me? Making these cute patriotic rice krispie treat starts, and taking them to get-togethers has become my new thing. It feels good to know that everyone enjoys them, plus since they are great for the holidays, it just makes sense. When red, white, and blue is the theme, you can almost bet this is what I am going to show up with.
Patriotic Rice Krispie Treat Stars
Yields – 32 stars with small and medium cookie cutters
Ingredients
3 Tablespoons Butter
4 Cups Mini Marshmallows + 1 Cup Extra
6 Cups Toasted Rice Cereal
16 Ounces of Almond Bark
Star Cookie Cutters
Patriotic Sprinkles
Directions
1. In a large bowl, microwave butter on high for 30 seconds or until melted.
2. Add 4 cups marshmallows to the butter and coat marshmallows with butter.
3. Microwave in 45-second increments until melted, stir every 45 seconds.
4. Once melted, add the additional cup of marshmallows and stir (do not microwave again).
5. Slowly fold toasted rice cereal into the marshmallow mixture.
6. Stir holiday sprinkles into your mixture to combine.
7. After combining, press rice krispies on a surface that has been lined with parchment paper (or on a baking sheet) about the same thickness as your cookie cutters.
8. Cut stars into your treats using cookie cutters and place on a cooling rack or parchment paper.
9. Melt the almond bark according to the directions on the package or use a melting pot.
10. Once melted completely, drizzle almond bark over star treats.
11. Sprinkle with holiday sprinkles to finish.
12. Cool completely and enjoy!
