My Ladybug Wheelbarrow

By Manuela Williams

My birthday was Sunday and as a present to myself I got a Ladybug Wheelbarrow! I love it! It is so so cute!

We really needed two wheelbarrows.  This one is easy to maneuver and it’s  perfect for a couple of bags of dirt and some pots of flowers.

wheelbarrow filled with flowers

I also stopped at Home Depot and got a few flowers to plant.

flowers to be planted

Home Depot was packed btw! They even had tomato starts and other warm season vegetables. Normally it would be too early for those but I guess some people will take a chance and plant early.

red & yellow tulips

All of my spring flowers are in some stage of blooming. Crazy isn’t it!

My Ladybug Wheelbarrow and I are going to be very busy this spring!

 Bradford Pear in Bloom

Do you see the green tips on this tree? My Bradford Pear has bloomed and is now leafing out!

Gardening season has begun in Georgia!

Here’s the link to the Ladybug Wheelbarrow on Amazon. For all you pink lovers – there’s a pink wheelbarrow too!

It’s a crazy spring for sure! Usually my spring ephemerals that are naturalized through the yard (spring beauties, woodland phlox, lyre leaf sage, self-heal) are all bloomed out and set seed by the time the “weeds” (assorted grass, false dead nettle, chickweed, etc.) start really taking off necessitating a mow of the yard before the “yard police” get on a tear about unmowed yards — but this year the weeds have really taken off, but I can’t mow until the ephemerals set seed.

Your ladybug wheelbarrow is as cute as a bug!

It is too early for most veggies and flowers here in the Northwest…today is cold, wet & windy! I did pick up some lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower starts the other day. The are in the greenhouse until I get some plastic over the hoop house to protect them.
    Have fun gardening! 🙂

    Blessings!

We really shouldn’t plant until April. But I can understand wanting to. It’s been so hot lately we’ve even had the AC on!

Happy Birthday! And guess what? We have the same birthday! My family gave me lots of gardening stuff, mostly very pretty pots. We are zone 5 here, so no gardening yet. But it will be warm this week so I will start cleaning beds. Have a great week.

Just hope we don’t get a late freeze, as some fruit trees have bloomed around here.

OK, that is the cutest wheelbarrow I’ve ever seen! You should leave it out in your garden as a decorative piece! How did you hang those plates on your fence and does the rain ruin them?

Ladybugs are so good in the garden!! Especially when they help you get the work done:) I’m in Newnan and your sights look a lot like mine, we must be near each other. Unfortunately, I didn’t plant anything for early Spring this year so I’m still looking at a lot of green. Happy birthday, and happy gardening (and wheelbarrowing).

Your ladybug wheelbarrow is delightful. I love things that make me smile when I use them, don’t you? I have a red manual can opener and when it gave out the other week I waited to buy one until I could find another red one. It always gives me a happiness feeling when I use it, whereas black does not!

I don’t know what I’d do without my wheelbarrow. I even fill it with ice and keep drinks cold in it for barbecues. (Yes, it does get a good scouring and is lined with plastic to boot.) Amazing early spring for you folks. I hope that you have a nice long spring and a shorter summer. That’s not as bad as it sounds.

Happy Birthday Manuela! Your photos almost have me ready to pack and move to Georgia! Everything is still brown and bare here in Michigan, although it is supposed to be 70 and sunny tomorrow. Oh you can’t imagine my joy in the sunshine, longer days and warmer weather! I am so looking forward to a beautiful garden like yours:>)

Yes, the “play in the dirt” days are here. Everything is so lush and green right snow and I’m enjoying that while it lasts. The tulips are beautiful. Have fun with your ladybug. : )

What a cute wheelbarrow! Those big chunky wheels are great. The Bradford pears are blooming all over here too–a sure sign that spring is here.

That is adorable! What a great way to make something necessary and functional fun to took at too.
I also just saw the garden gates you featured in the previous post. I have long been a lover of garden gates. I imagine a cottage in the woods with a romantic gate to let you in. Why I don’t try to do something fun in my own little “development” home, I don’t know.

    And HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!
