Happy Yellow Living Room Decor

By Manuela Williams

Most of you know that I love decorating with yellow ! So I wanted to share with you some yellow pillows that I’ve been using this summer in the living room (which is a light shade of yellow) and a cute wreath that I made.

Below is a book page cone wreath I made a while a go and spray painted yellow. Love it!

yellow book page cone wreath

You can still see some of the print of the book pages. I tried to spray the center more yellow than the outside part (I thought it would be sort of flower like) but it didn’t really work 🙂 It actually looks more like I tried to ombre it! Either way it works for me!

Yellow and white "Happy Home" typography pillow

Isn’t the “happy home” pillow cute! I love typography so I was really happy to find this pillow because I strive to have a happy home (as I’m sure you all do). I believe I got that at TJMaxx but it was back in April or May so I doubt they would still have it.  I know the two geometric  pillows are from Target since I saw them there last week.  They come in a set of two and they’re reversible. The back is solid yellow.  I think they have them in a couple of color ways.

Yellow and red cottage style living room decor

The square mirrored tray is also from Target and after eyeing it for months I finally was able to get it on clearance!

Cheerful cottage style living room

Hope you enjoyed seeing a bit of my cheery cottage style living room and thanks for stopping by!

I absolutely love this room and these colors. Cheerful, summery, bright, but it will transition into fall beautifully! The mirrored tray is so pretty, as are the pillows. I always love what you do !

I love yellow too! Is so cheerful and fun and warm and cozy. don’t usually think of putting red and yellow together but love your room and the touches of red. Also LOVE the yellow beadboard. I love beadboard and love it painted too. Your book page wreath is neat and I like the smallness of it and how it looks like a big flower! Marilyn

Love it, Manuela! Leann is right, magazine worthy! You deserve to be one of those folks I’ve been reading about being featured. : ) Love your book page wreath. It does look like a flower ~ a dahlia to be specific. Great find on the pillows.

What a beautiful room! I know anyone who enters this room feels good! I have to ask, are the flowers real or silk? I thnk they are lovely and should be there all the time.

Hi Jane – Thank you! Those flowers are not real. 🙂 I bought them at Michael’s – they’re bunches of different flowers. I’ve had them for years and use them all over my home.

I use pops of yellow in my navy and white living room. We want our home to have a coastal cottage feel, without a nautical theme. My husband does not do well with any thing he considers hokey. I love your yellows!

I love it! Being a fan of yellow (and red) I’ve always loved your house! The pillows are great, and that cone wreath too! It’s all bright and cheery without being “too much.” I hope that makes sense!

Thanks for coming over from Kim’s place and subscribing. I hope you enjoy today’s post which is my dining room china cabinet. We’re in the process of selling our home so I have some more decorating posts coming up but normally I do a mix of frugal living ideas, gardening, easy crafts and decor.
