The Glitter Village

By Manuela Williams

It snowed on and off almost all day yesterday! You don’t know how rare that is in this part of Georgia – we don’t usually get snow until February. I was inspired by the snow to make my own snowy, glittery village. So I pulled out my little glitter houses from last year.

Here are some closeups.

That glittery deer is the only new thing I bought – $10 at Target. I saw a standing one at TJ Maxx but it was $29!

The little red cottage is actually a ornament and so is the snowman and the glittery tree.

Do you see the little bell in the church steeple?

I’m feeling very glittery and snowy this year. So I think I’ll put out decorations with that in mind (which is sort of unfortunate because last year I did red and lime green). I’ll just have to work some of that in somehow! I hope to have all my Christmas decorations done by the end of the week. I don’t intend on doing too much…but we’ll see ~ smile.

I love glitter at Christmas, too!! And the glitter that remains hidden on everything for two months after!!! I’m fortunate enough to have the snow village that was on my grandmother’s mantel at Christmas. Have a good day. Sally

Oh, how pretty that little glitter Christmas village is! I love it. I decided to get my light up village out this year & put it on the sideboard in the DR. I'm working like crazy to get all mine done this week too. Gotta clean up this mess!

I was in Atlanta Sun. & came back yesterday, so saw a bit of those showflakes. Very strange this time of year. One of my dear friends lost her father to cancer, so I went to the funeral yesterday.

    That is really cute!

My kids are wanting snow – enough to sled and play in, and a big snow for Christmas! 🙂

We don’t usually get as much here as the rest of the state does, so some it would be a real treat for us!

    Oh how perfectly charming…

I’ve had my eye on some houses at TJ Maxx, but so far I’m resisting the urge. If I see these little villages sprouting up more and more, I may lose all self-control.

Hi Manuela! I love glitter this time of the year. Your little village is so cute and charming. We had a bit of snow on Monday as well. It stayed up on the mountains (just a fine dusting) but quickly melted here. I hope that you have a wonderful week. I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of your holiday decorating.
