I came across this cute and easy Christmas project and just had to share it! It’s a decorative Christmas stocking holder made from a cedar planter box! This is just for displaying pretty Christmas stockings, not for ones that you are actually going to fill though (unless you weight the box down). I love this idea because you can fill the box part with all kinds of decorative things – anything from pinecones to shiny Christmas tree ornaments!

This would be so pretty on a mantel, shelf or anything that you decorate like a mantel. I found it on the Home Depot blog.
It has a bit of a rustic/country feel to it. But I think you could glam up this DIY Christmas Stocking Holder if you added some shiny Christmas balls instead of the pinecones and didn’t sand the box to give a distressed look.

What a great idea for a stocking holder.
It would work well for someone who doesn’t have a mantel.

Hi Manuela! It has been forever since I have been blogging and I stopped in to see what you have been doing. Oh my goodness…that is soooooooo cute. What a great idea. I just went around and gathered all my autumn decorations today but still have to start on my holiday decor.
