Use cold butter or lard. To make your crust flaky, use very cold butter or lard to make the crust.
Poke holes in the bottom of your crust. Once you have your crust in the pan, poke some holes in the bottom to allow the steam to escape. This helps prevent bubbles in your crust.
Let the pie rest. Allow your pie to rest for at least 20 minutes before cutting. This allows your filling and crust to set and will help your pie not be so runny.
