When you’re trying to decide how to upcycle baby clothes, you have several options:
- Resize and Reuse. Onesies can be reused as a top for a dress and shirts can be remodeled into charming hats. It only takes a little ingenuity (and some basic sewing skills) and you will be repurposing your favorite baby items with ease.
- Toys and Decorations. The ideas are endless for transforming baby clothes into toys and decorations for their “big kid” room. Remake clothing into doll clothes, stuffed animals, garlands or bunting, and even alphabet letters for them to learn.
- Keepsakes. I have several of my children’s baby things which were upcycled into keepsakes. My favorite is a keepsake blanket they can use when they are a little older. However, you may prefer a different idea such as a memory bear, shadow box, or Christmas ornament. Find one that best suits you and cherish it forever.
