I thought I’d show you the front yard of one of my neighbors. They’re such a lovely elderly couple with 7 (yes seven) rescued dogs one which is named Sir Winston Churchill! Anyway, anyone that rescues dogs AND takes good care of them is all right by me!
A pretty jumble of plants around a birdbath.
Do you see the capiz chandelier hanging off the shepards hook? So cute and makes a lovely wind chime.

They have birdhouses and feeders everywhere! You should have seen all the birds and bees flying around while I took the photos!
As a matter of fact, a few weeks ago their yard was filled with sunflowers all from seeds the birds dropped. We’ve had several severe storms since then and a lot have fallen over.
Mailbox planting.
Lots of cat’s whiskers and black-eyed susans.
There are roses, lantanta, portulacca, conflowers, zinnias – so many lovely flowers.
There are cute garden sculptures all over. Lots of birdbaths. Sometimes you have to look deep into a bed to see the statue.
They have a vegetable garden in a bed on side of the yard.
See the tomato behind the flower – they’re growing LOTS of tomatoes and squash.
There are a couple of neighbors who’s garden’s I enjoy while walking Maxie and I hope to be able to photograph them and share them with you.

What beautiful flowers. I hope they let you pick some for bouquets. Love the birds on a wire stand. Wonderful that they rescue.

Yes, she did say I could pick some anytime but I enjoy just looking at them in her yard.

They have beautiful gardens. How they manage that with seven rescue dogs is beyond me. God love them for the good home they share with the dogs. Thanks for sharing the views from your house!

Oh it’s great to have neighbors with a beautiful yard. It makes it so much nicer all the way around. (Wish my neighbors would realize they have sumac growing up the side of their house.)

What a delightful garden! Thank you for sharing it. I think we often plant a garden for ourselves, never realizing the joy it might bring others who pass by. It would be a delight to see this on a walk:>)

What an absolutely gorgeous yard! And I’m with you on the rescued pet thing. 😉 Thx for sharing.

How lucky you are to have neighbors with gardens like that!! That’s absolutely wonderful. I love walking by interesting yards and houses. I wish people would “landscape” for themselves and walkers, rather than for real estate agents, which is unfortunately what is mostly done in my neighborhood.

Now THAT’S a cottage garden – or gardenS! I’m assuming they’ve lived there for many years and that these gardens have evolved over those many years? Such beautiful flowers – and nice neighbors for letting you take pictures of their landscaping.
