Today’s Thrifty Treasures – A New Collection

By Manuela Williams

It’s Monday so that means it’s time to show your thriftstore/yardsale treasures! Be sure to visit Rhoda at Southern Hospitality for more Today’s Thrifty Treasures.

I got a couple of things at Goodwill last week and I’d like to share one of them with you today. It didn’t even need painting or anything! Although I’m thinking about painting the frame! Right now there’s a watercolor on the opposite wall with similar colorations so I think it works.

This pretty bird picture was $4.54 Y – Y stands for yellow and all yellow tags were 50% off. So it was $2.27!

I already had this picture below from the thriftstore that I made over.

After
I also had this 1/2 yard by Paul de Longpre which I got at the Lakewood Flea Market in Atlanta long ago.

They say you need three to make a collection. So that means I now have a bird print collection! I really love anything to do with nature and my backyard is filled with birds that we enjoy watching. So I decided to take down my rose pictures and make this a wall of bird prints.

As you can see I have plenty of room for any new ones that I may find!

Thanks for dropping by to see this weeks thriftstore treasure!

    Hi Manuela,
I’m positive that’s a Marjolein Bastin piece too. I love her work and she is an artist for Hallmark (or at least she was). She resides in the Netherlands I believe. Lovely picture!

I found this website of her here:
