A Snowy Cozy Christmas Weekend

By Manuela Williams

We had a really lovely Christmas and I hope you all did too! The thing that made this Christmas super special is that we got snow!!
snowchristmasday
It rarely snows in Atlanta in December and it’s even more rare to get snow on Christmas Day. It was a lovely surprise and made the day even more special for everyone. I think the children in the neighborhood enjoyed the snow more than any presents they received under their trees!

Here are a few wintery scenes from my garden….I’m sure the  snow will be gone by tomorrow.

Maxie is enjoying the snow and doesn’t want to come back inside. Yes, I’m leaving you and going inside where it’s warm…crazy dog!

I’ll make some scrumptious hot coffee with Peppermint Mocha creamer, snuggle under a plush throw, have a few Christmas cookies and enjoy my new books for the rest of today! I’m especially anxious to read The New Low Maintenance Garden!

Thanks for dropping by!

It was so nice to get snow on Christmas day here in Atlanta! Hope you enjoy your day and get some rest! Stay warm!

Beautiful winter pictures. Enjoy your peaceful day. We had snow flurries falling from the sky here in Memphis yesterday, but nothing to stick or take pictures of. Even so, it was our first Christmas snow fall since 1913 and made for an extra cozy Christmas day.

I am visiting family in S.C. and we have the snow here also. My granddaughter has her sled out and made a snow man last night. What fun to watch her play in the snow. First snow on Christmas day in 65 years. Wow……..

Glad you had the excitement of a White Christmas, Manuela! We are currently in the very beginning of a major snow stome that will bring at least a foot of snow! Yikes. I guess we're getting our White Christmas a day late.

    Enjoyed seeing your snow pictures.
All we got was flurries yesterday and last night, and I am glad it was not any more than that.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Manuela, How special for you to have a dusting of snow for Christmas. We continue to have flurries on top of our piles of the white stuff and it is gray and depressing out. I long for sunny days, even with snow on the ground. Makes it more cheery!

Hey, friend! Isn't the snow so much fun? I didn't go any further than my front door to take pics, but it really was pretty coming down. I haven't been out in 2 days, but hopefully tomm. it will be mostly back to normal. Glad you had a good Christmas!

We still have snow today, just south of the airport. Do you think it'll last until tomorrow? It's been a lovely present from nature for my first Christmas in Georgia!

I'm so glad that you had snow. My family in Alabama had snow as well. We (Ohio) have had snow almost every day this month. I love it, Hubby doesn't.
Love your Maxie dog. My Dad's name was Max and now my grandson.
I do think you should say "cozy blanket" instead of plush throw. It just sounds better, he he.

    That's a nice white Christmas !
We had too much snow the poor people had to spend Christmas Eve in the airports and we almost couldn't go to Amsterdam, we were completely burried in snow !!
I'll remember this "white Christmas" as a white catastrophe ! In Belgium too it is very rare that it snows so early !
