decorated screened porch
This is what we see from the dining room. A colorful collection of birdhouses!
red and blue birdhouse
I repainted this birdhouse that I got at Goodwill for $4. It was a sage green and white so I made it more me.
red and blue birdhouse
Because I’m not a sage green type of person. I’m an apple green type of person.
birdhouses on a deck
This is really all I did this year out on my cold screened porch. Since we’re moving I didn’t want to do a whole lot since I didn’t want to have undo a lot!
bench with birdhouses
If you’d like to see what I  did out here last year go here for last year’s cozy winter porch – fireplace and all (sold the fpl to a neighbor during the summer).

Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend! Looks like a winter storm is headed our way and I wish I still had the fireplace. Brrrr!

I love the birdhouses! I had a big back porch in a house a few years ago and wanted to collect them…but never really found any as beautiful as yours! I ended up with some 'real' bird nests though that I enjoyed! Stay warm! ♥

The birdhouse neighborhood looks great! Sorry that you let the fireplace go too soon. Perhaps another will pop up for you at Goodwill or the thrift shop.

Your little bird houses are darling! I adore them. The colors are definitely you, too.
That fireplace would have been very cozy, oh dear, not a Winter storm, they aren't too kind to you people down there, are they!?
Stay warm and safe, my friend.
    Love and hugs, Cindy

Nice view, Manuela! Those people – they apparently decided to wait until Spring to look. Okay, by me. We are set to list by the end of the month, first week in February. Fingers crossed! : )

It snowed all day here, the sweet soft falling snow that doesn't leave much by way of inches but just pretty!

I like what you've done with your porch. It's such a nice welcoming space.

    Enjoy your snow!

Very nice Manuela. Hope you are having a great weekend. For some reason, I know you are moving and yet it feels that you are moving out of blogland. I know you aren't but I just feel a little sad about the move. Hopefully your next home will give you much happiness. Take care.

I LOVE all the birdhouses! So pretty! And even without the fireplace (which was gorgeous, by the way), you do have quite the cozy porch!

And we're getting snow, too. They say 3 – 7 inches which is very rare for the Memphis area. Fun times! : )

Love your wonderful porch and the cute display of birdhouses. I bet you do miss that fireplace! You can always get another one if you want. I have actually been looking through your archives today…not that I haven't already looked at them many times before. Love your posts and get so much inspiration from them. Have a great weekend and try to stay warm!

I know you smile when you look out your window at your winter porch and see your colorful birdhouses.

I hope you have a pretty snow with no ice! Losing electricity with ice is the pits.

  25. Adrienne says

Love your porch! We don't have a porch like yours -I'd love to but we couldn't decorate it or use it during our wet winters here in Oregon. Everything would be soaked! Dreaming of the day I can have a screen porch with windows that 'pop' in for the winter! My sweetheart just smiles and listens to me dream!

And that fireplace is darling. Wish I were your neighbor.

Oh my! I remember how lovely Saturday was…and today! Gracious me! I've got snow here and I'm a good 100 or so miles south of you.

Love the birdhouses, I was looking at me the other day and decided that they need to change from the red/white/blue theme to something with more color. I'm thinking turquoise, yellow, red, white, lime.

What a beautiful porch! I also love bird houses, decorative ones and ones for the little birdies to live in. I had some decorative ones on my porch last year and I had to stuff the openings with paper because the wasps made nests in them.

Those bird houses are so pretty! It's always so satisfactory to look out the window and see something nice.
Around here we only have pigeons and they're mostly disturbing.
I was considering to string some peanuts and hand it on the balcony or in a window and attract some fun bird traffic this way 🙂
