My Top 2010 Projects Review

By Manuela Williams

I was planning on doing this post next week in 2011, but my friend Rhoda @ Southern Hospitality is having her projects party today so I thought I’d join the fun. Please visit her to see the other party goers.
Top-Projects-2010
These are just some of my favorite projects!

This year I replaced the center of a kitchen cabinet with chicken wire and rooster toile.
Cabinet Makeover

I also altered some books with spray paint, stamps and scrapbook paper.
Painted Books & A Fireplace Vignette

One of my very favorite pieces of furniture and my favorite furniture makeover is of a halltree I got at Goodwill.

I made my own toile candles and this is such an easy way to personalize your own candles!

Another piece that I madeover that I’ve used a lot this month is the kitchen cart I got at Goodwill.

Like practically everyone in blogland, I made a coffee filter wreath plus  a few different wreaths like this

and this  Valentine yarn wreath.

So far my very favorite project of the year has to be my dining room! A can of paint, some molding, and decluttering is all it took.

As many of you know, I’m preparing my home to be listed for sale the end of March so I’ve got a “few” more projects left to do – two bathrooms, two bedrooms, lots of decluttering and organizing and some yard projects too!

Thanks so much for stopping by to see what I’ve done in the past and I hope you all stick around to see all my new projects!

Hi, friend, so fun to see all your projects on one spot. I love them all. You come up with some neat ideas by painting your things & I love those toile candles. Too cute! I've got a huge pack of coffee filters that I bought at a yardsale& they don't fit our maker, so i just might have to do one of those wreaths.

Happy new Year & I do remember that you are selling your house. I wish you the best in all of that & can't wait to see where you land.

Great finds with the hall tree and kitchen cart. They both turned out great and I'll bet that cart comes in handy. I know I could have used an extra surface this Christmas!

    Manuela,
I've so enjoyed your blog as I became a blogger in early 2010. Thank you for sharing all your cleaver, handy ideas. I've always said, "When I grow up I want a cozy home like yours"…you get the idea. I say this because since the passing of my spouse it's just been transition time and no time/expense to live in a home and do those things. One day, I pray.

God bless as you continue to get everything done that needs to be finished before the house hit's the market.

    Take care,
    Viola
