Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice Butter

The only thing better than butter on bread is flavored butter on bread! Here’s how to make homemade pumpkin pie spice butter that’s perfect for fall!


  • 3/4 cup butter, softened (not melted)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons pumpkin pie mix/filling (not pure pumpkin puree)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (optional for a little sweeter taste)


  1. Use a hand mixer to whip your butter until fluffy (1-2 minutes).
  2. Mix in your honey, pumpkin pie mix, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla. If you want your homemade pumpkin pie spice butter to be sweeter, add the optional powdered sugar.
  3. Spoon into a Mason jar. If you’re having a hard time getting it all into the jar neatly, scoop it into a freezer bag, cut a tip off the corner, and squeeze it into the Mason jar.
  4. Serve on warm dinner rolls or other warm baked goods!
