What drew me to Tasha Tudor originally was her garden! I had received this book as a gift and was so captivated with her beautiful garden that I wanted to learn more about her!

What I always admired about her was that she seemed to live her life true to who she was. I loved that she was so “old-fashioned”. I don’t think I would go as far as dressing the part, but I admired that she loved the old ways of doing things. Especially at at time when this was not as “in vogue” as it is now!
Interestingly, I didn’t come to know her as an artist until a few years later when I started reading some children’s books to my daughter that she had illustrated! I was always more interested in her garden and home life!
A few years ago I was in a “junque” shop in Atlanta sifting through some papers and found these old Corgi Cottage Industries Catalogs! I thought I’d share a few scans from them.
Look she sold cream moisturizing cream!

I loved Tasha Tudor also. I remember getting a book of fairy tales illustrated by her when I was a girl.

Hi, Manuela! I have loved Tasha Tudor's work and life for a long time. I discovered her when my girls were young, and we so enjoyed learning all about her. I had several beautiful books of her, and gave them to my daughter when she got married, as she loved them more than I did. Several years ago, we visited Williamsburg, VA, and they were displaying Tasha's dollhouse. It was such a treat for us to see so many of the things we had read of.

Love all the things you have shown. I love to have a book on Tasha Tudor. All I know is just a little I read on the net. I love she done things the hard old way! I forgot, that a great candle stick and the mirror will be great in your toile room.
