The Green Pumpkin

By Manuela Williams

Hi everyone! Just a quick post. I went to Target today and they had most of that $1 section on clearance as they’re getting ready to put out all the $1 Christmas stuff! I got lots of great fall ribbon and scrapbookpaper for 50 cents. They had one side already set with some Christmas stuff and it looks cute – not a dollar though – it’s all $2.50, but still a good price.

I’ve had my eye on the green pumpkins at Target since the beginning of the season and got one today as they’re 50% – so it was $5 – which isn’t bad for something you can use over and over. I wish I could have waited for 75% off but honestly people jump on everything around here even if it’s only 30% off!

I had to take a few pictures of my crepe myrtles – they’re so beautiful right now!

It looks like fall around here but it sure doesn’t feel it! It’s going up to 75 today and I have on shorts and short sleeves! I wish it would hurry up and get cold and stay cold! I’m so ready to be cozy and nest! See you tomorrow for Show and Tell.

Your little vignette of table, chair and elevated pumpkin is so charming! I think $5 is a great price for the pumpkin…it looks so real! Thanks for the tip on Target. Your site is so inspiring Manuela. I am such a fan. Thank you so much for sharing.
    Warmly,
    Tracey

    It’s warm here, too!

This is my first comment but I’ve read your blog for a short while and have subscribed through a feeder. I enjoy seeing all your projects. Everything is so pretty!

Great deal on the pumpkin, I love the round table and the dish that it is on. Hey! I know its for horses, I got a rug, smaller than I wanted, but too much black, I love the rug. But as hubby says it will show, anything living in country. So its going back, I guess, rather have it, than the slip cover, I have to go to gold are tan on the rug, with a little black. This rug even blends the all family room together. Sad!

LOVE that green pumpkin. I may have to make a stop at Target today myself. I know what you mean about waiting until things are 75% off ~ nothing is left worth buying then ~ so might as well grab it now.

Beautiful, beautiful trees! Love that color on the trees, not on the ground to rake up 🙂

    Blessings,

    Sher

Pretty green pumpkin! Are you SURE you want it to get cold? I could be perfectly happy with a 70 degree autumn, even a 70 degree winter:>)

I love going to Target, too, but the only problem is it takes me almost 40 – 45 minutes to get to the closest one, so I don’t go very often.

    The pumpkin is adorable!

Okay a crash course~ In “Meme’s Lay~a~way 101…lol…Food~ I take food that is on sale and that I have a coupon for and go to the baby section, office supplies section, the tire section, the towel section, anywhere where they don’t mess with stuff… and stash it deep…I take decor that is fixing to go on clearance and hide it in the furniture…drawers, cabinets, or deep in a shelf…I put them in trash cans in the back of the shelf and put the lid back on….If I really want it I’ll take apart the display shelf and stash it under there…Clothes I take all my size of the item I want and stash it in different areas of larger sizes and childrens sizes…Im pretty serious when it comes to saving money…lol…Sometimes it doesn’t work but most of the time it does…I feel like a squirrel stowing away for winter…lol…whatever makes me feel better about it!!! 🙂

    Loved your white chair. Those
    chairs are my diningroom chairs,
but never seen them painted white
and it looked so good. Especially
with the red and white fabric.

I have somehow amassed a not tiny collection of pumpkins. I’m not really sure how… it must have something to do with my “have to buy it” reflex when I see something pumpkin. I don’t have a green one yet, yours is so cute!

I love your green pumpkin. I know what you mean about everyone jumping on sale items. I would have done what you did – grab what I wanted at 50% off. I’ve been disappointed many times when I held out for a better sale and then lost out on the item I wanted.

I really love your decor and the above post of the artwork that you have around the front door has some really great ideas.

Hope you have a great day!
    Elizabeth
