Bunnies + Garden Statues=Spring!

By Manuela Williams

It was very spring like here in Georgia this weekend! The weather really was lovely and I spent most of my time outside working in my vegetable garden. So I thought I’d do a little spring themed decorating. I found this picture when I organized my garage and it and the weather inspired me!

I made these bunny on a stick topiary cups (thank you Angie for posting about the moss bunnies – otherwise I wouldn’t have know as I hardly ever go to Pier One). $2 people, for cute bunnies on a stick (sounds like something to eat doesn’t it)! I just took one of my blue transferware tea cups and filled it with floral foam, topped it with some moss and stuck the bunny in it!

I shopped my garden – the statue and blue finial are from the garden.

This bunny planter I got a few years ago at Target during the after summer clearance and I’ve never used it until now!

If you look in the mirror you can see that one of my Bradford Pears is in bloom!

A bird in an apothecary jar with some moss.

It was so much fun putting together something so springy and all I spent was $4!

My birthday is Wednesday and Lyn will be guest posting that day with her last installment of “Investing In What Matters – Invest In Yourself “. Hopefully my husband has a fabulous week planned for me (he’s taking Tues – Thursday off) so I won’t be around until I post on Friday. Have a great week!

Since I ususally look at your blog at least once a day, I guess I better about commenting, so here goes! I love the bunnies. I just saw in the Martha S. Living mag, April issue, I think, where they did wheatgrass baskets for eggs. That’d be cute too, with those little teacups. I also like the little pineapple garden statue, and, did you see the one I got (on my blog)? I called it an acorn! Then I saw one in the pennies catalog. I like ours better! Also, happy birthday! Don’t forget to wear your tiara!!!

I’m scared to allow myself to get spring fever up here in Ohio! We usually have one more big snow in March after a few warm days. Your spring things are lovely! I’ll live vicariously while I browse your blog! Sigh. 🙂

I love bunnies!! I will have to go to Pier 1 to find those adorable moss covered bunnies. Great pictures and I am inspired to start with some Spring decorating.

We did have some snow here this weekend though. My crocus will have to wait awhile to open up.
