Easter Decorations

Easter Sunday will be here before we know it! I finally got around to doing a  little Easter decorating this week.  I only bought 2 new things at the Dollar Tree (some candy and plastic eggs), otherwise everything else I already had. Alot I didn’t even use since I decided to keep it simple this year.

Easter Decorations

I like to put all of my seasonal decorations in one or two places (especially when I don’t have a lot). I think the impact is greater when you group things and putting stuff away is easier since I don’t have to look all over the house for decorations.

I bought those colorful marshmallow twists at Dollar Tree to put in my apothecary jar (not to eat). I like to decorate with candy – it’s a really easy way to fill those apothecary jars!  I usually buy my “decorating candy” at the dollar stores.

I love this little egg topiary!

Easter bottle brush trees

I love bottle brush trees! I love them at Christmas and any time really. I have a few Easter bottle brush trees. I don’t know where to tell you to get them as I haven’t  seen any this year. I got these a few years ago (probably at TJX or Tuesday Morning).

Easter eggs in apothecary jar

I filled another apothecary jar with plastic Easter eggs. To make  the polka dot eggs – I used those stick on dots you get at an office supply store. That little bunny looks angry {giggle}!

aqua Easter coffee filter wreath

This wreath that’s hanging on the cabinet door is the coffee filter wreath with interchangeable center that I made last year. The tutorial is here. I covered a disc with some reindeer moss and glued on  a blue speckled egg  and then inserted this into my wreath. This is such an easy way to get a whole new seasonal wreath without having to make one from scratch every time!

That’s all the Easter decorating I’ve done this year! If you’d like to see some previous years Easter decorations you can check out this post or this post  or use the looking for something search  function on the sidebar to search this site.

Wonderful decorating. I am keeping it simple this year, too. Really, really simple because the outside isn’t matching the inside and it just looks ridiculous. What would I do if I lived in Australia at Christmastime? Ha!

Love the cheap, colorful candy idea! Trouble is, I’d eat it.

That’s why I buy it at the dollar store. That candy is made in China and I won’t eat anything made in China. So it’s not a a temptation.

You have been busy and I really like the pretty results. I have plenty to decorate with – just need to do something about it all. I am past due for a trip to DT – started a list today.
    Enjoy your weekend!!

Everything looks gorgeous. Easter decor is my favorite. I love your bottle brush trees. I never would think to use them at Easter but it really works. The tea-cups they are in must be from Anthropology. They are gorgeous. Loved this post. Deb

Cute Easter decorations. I don’t decorate much for Easter either – I tend to go more spring-like. I like your idea of putting candy in the jars as decor. It wouldn’t tempt me unless it was M&M’s. 😉

Love your angry bunny! Since it finally warmed up today and tomorrow it will be 70, I’m starting to get in the spirit for spring and Easter decorating — and your little touches are inspiring. I think I’ll put up a little Easter decor this weekend.

Your Easter decorating is really sweet Manuela. I like the bottle brush trees and haven’t seen Easter ones before. I don’t have very much out either, a lot of eggs and then a few nests with eggs for spring. Have a lovely weekend. Blessings, Pamela

I just put a few things on the buffet but I’m not finished, yet. It isn’t quite what I want. I don’t have a lot of Easter or Spring decorations, not like I did when I had kids at home.

However, as usual I did get a couple ideas from looking at what you’ve done. :)

Great idea about buying the candy made in China!

Manuela, All of your Easter decor looks so pastel pretty! I ca’t believe I have yet to put out any of my eggs and bunnies. You certainly have given me the incentive to bring it out of the closet tomorrow. :-) Sue
